Some Dreams

We all have dreams. Sometimes they are fantastic and wild and have huge octopus monsters using stars as portals and travelling to new worlds, sometimes they are mundane- driving your car through traffic.it can be anything and its different for everyone. the real dreams are the ones that keep you awake at night drive you and steer you towards some roads, forests, mountains and rivers. The ambitions you have- to climb mount Kilimanjaro for instance, or even to make really tasty cakes (if you have the later dream please note i will be a food taster for free). these dreams are the important ones, they carry the potential of shaping your life, your destiny (if you want to be melodramatic).

For me the dreams i have while sleeping are pretty crazy. at times its ninja warrior aliens have come to save earth from illegal alien invasion, sometimes its being on-board a rescue ship and its way in the future so its a space ship and Gandaulf is the gatekeeper to some planet. so yes the standard random chaos of rem sleep.

But my real dreams (the ones that have the potential to keep me awake at night) are quite simple. I dream that one day everywhere there will be democracy and justice, that a day will come when people will break out of narrow thoughts and actions (me included) and we will move past our fears and dogmas, everyone will be welcomed with open arms, there will be no discrimination's on the basis of region, caste, religion, sexuality or well even species (in case of and I strongly believe there will be aliens), I dream that one day my country will have leaders that inspire and work diligently towards its progress and not to fill their own coffers, that there will be peace between all countries, more than peace there will be cooperation each lifting the other up. Everyone will work towards growing, being better individuals and people. (inserting sarcasm)- We will call this place planet batman and its clouds will be of cotton candy.

All right since I've made everyone see the glass half empty side of life, here are something’s that cheer me up- the sunset because it’s like the sky is having a going away party for the sun; putting up a dance of colors and lights with the birds singing in the background, in a quiet peaceful beautiful way. i also love seeing a blade of grass growing through the cracks in a wall or a sidewalk it’s like a huge middle finger to “civilization” (not the right word exactly bear with me) and I like babies and puppies because they are so extremely cute and they don’t get a word you say, yes I talk to them and I mean political, philosophical discussions, no I don’t know why. If that doesn't cheer you up one of Scotland’s national animals is a unicorn. You can’t top unicorn.

The conclusion is reading the newspaper’s is bad for health; it will keep you awake and unhappy. Read Calvin and Hobbes instead.
